In the very centre of the campus area (the centre of the image) are the Science Towers, with the Veterinary Sciences Complex behind them and Tiritea House just visible below of them.

McHardy Hall, the Refectory and the Old Hostel are in the lower centre of the image (below Tiritea House).

To the right of the Science Towers are the Library, Student Centre, old Registry Building, old Main Building, Registry Building, Social Sciences Complex, Wharerata, and (closest to Tennant Drive) the buildings that will become the Commercial Complex (and ultimately the Courtyard Complex).

To the left of the Science Towers are the Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences Buildings, the Riddet Complex and Colombo Hall, while the area to the left of McHardy Hall and below Colombo Hall is occupied by the Young Farmers' Club Memorial Hostel and the Rehab Hostels.

At the far end of the campus are the Boiler House (opposite the Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences Buildings on the other side of University Avenue, the ring road) and Walter Dyer Hall (on the other side of Tennant Drive).
