Receipt (or brick) number 578026 for the purchase of one brick as part of the Massey Agricultural College fundraising appeal for a Students’ Union Building. 

In Chaff, 12(8), of March 1961, it was reported that each member of the Students' Association would be given a book of 100 "bricks" during the first term and May holidays of 1961. For this "buy a brick" campaign, some 700,000 of these bricks were printed with the hope of raising £70,000 through their sale at 2 shillings each.
