Two weeks ago, appx 2000 copies (out of the 5000 printed) of Chafi‘ went missing somewhere in between the print- ers and the drop-off point here. This is_ an occurance that has never happened before in the history of Chaff. We weren’t ever able to actually track them down, but in the course ofour investigations therewere a number of[...]proached by a Auckland media consultant regarding the possible purchase of our paper. Although the consultant would not enlarge on his client, the general feeling points towards media mogul and chief executive of News Limited Rupert , Murdoch. Despite the offer being imme- diately tumed down, knowing the current financial situation of MUSA, this same company offered to ‘donate’ a monthly amount to the paper, or even privately ‘fund’ it rather than outright purchase.
