On the far left of the image are the Veterinary Sciences Complex and the Bernard Chambers Building, and on the far right are the new Rotary, Egmont and City Court student residences.

Diagonally opposite the Court Hostels are the Rehab Hostels and the Young Farmers Club Memorial Hostel, while the Wool Department Building and the Science Towers are in the centre of the image (and the campus), with the Library, Student Centre and Old Registry Building behind them, and Tiritea House to the right of the Science Towers.

In the foreground are the Agricultural and Horticultural Science Buildings A and B as well as the Agricultural Engineering Building, with the Riddet Complex and Colombo Hall to the right. The Wool Building is directly across University Avenue - the ring road - from the Riddet Complex, and the interim Biology Building (today called the Ecology Building) is to the right.

At the far end of the campus are the Social Sciences Complex, construction work underway on the new Registry Building, the old Main Building, the Old Hostel, the Refectory and McHardy Hall.

Also of note are the two water towers some distance behind the Old Hostel. The shorter one is the original Massey Agricultural College water tower (soon to be demolished), and the taller one is the brand new replacement which still stands today.
