DescriptionThe farm, whare and milking shed, owned by A. H. Hansen, and what he called his "Bachelor Pad", shortly before the new home was built in 1912. His home is surrounded by dead trees and tree stumps but has been fenced. Grass seed has been sown.
Alf Hansen was a very early pioneer in the area, a supporter of the Tamaki Co-operative Company. He was its Chairman from 1919 through various company names resulting from amalgamatins, to his retirement in 1962 as Chariman of the Ruahine Co-operative Dairy Company.
