This interesting victory souvenir was issued by Four Square Stores to mark the allied victory in World War II. This copy came "With the compliments of C.R. Williams, Lower Hutt", but each retailer in the group may have issued copies under their own name. A brief summary of the war is accompanied by a biographical sketch of Field-Marshal (as he was then) Sir Bernard Law Montgomery, and a reproduction of a striking portrait of him in pencil by A.B. Young.
