The first, and possibly only, issue of this news magazine produced by the Reconnaissance Battalion of Trentham Camp in November 1941. The Editorial explains that the inclusion of the nominal roll in this first number has added to the price of the publication, and notes that the Recce Record's survival depends of members of the Battalion buying it and providing material for it. Perhaps this first issue was more than the soldiers could easily afford? At any rate, it probably had a very limited life-span and is now a very scarce item. Thank goodness the valuable nominal roll was included in vol. 1 no. 1!
