This image is of the second Anglican All Saints Church to be built on this Church Street site in Palmerston North.  The first was built in 1875 and when it became too small it was turned and used in the construction of this church. The second church served the community from 1881 - 1914, when the third and present brick church was built. At that time this building was moved to the back of the site and used as a Sunday School and hall until it was burnt down in 2007.  The current church has been closed to the public since 2013 due to its low seismic rating.  Discussions as to its future are ongoing (2019).

The postcard is adderssed to Miss Morris, c/- Mrs Westrup, 2 Shaonnon Street, Wellington.  It reads, 'Dear Miss Morris.  Recieved your postcard many thanks for it.  I was sorry I didn't get round to see you before you went away but i was at Feilding all that week.  Hope you are enjoying your holiday and feeling better.  Love from Eva.
