There are two buildings, both made of timber and corrugated iron. The building on the hill has an open window on the extension to the building and a door can be partially seen on the larger part of the building. The factory building is in parts: the boiler room is at the back and to the side with its tall smoke stack exiting from the roof. The factory has two ventilators on the roof and three vents under the eaves. The part of the building in front of that has two windows (one open) and a door. Apart from the factory is a raised tank which is probably the sweet whey tank.

In front of where the loading bay is, is a horse-drawn wagon and two men. The man in the bowler hat has been identified as Newton King.

A neatly piled stack of firewood is placed along the fence-line near the boiler house. There appears to be a lot of timber rubbish scattered around the section. The whole complex appears newly built. At the back are dear trees. In front is a stream/river.
