There is a long building, occupying the central part of the picture. A loading bay appears to be at the short end of the building. Central bottom of the picture is what appears to be a gate, with a track going up to the loading bay. Facing the camera are 13 horse-drawn wagons and drivers. Six of the wagons have passengers. In front of the wagons there are two women, each with a child, 1 woman in a frilly apron (Mrs Souness) with two children, a girl (Cissie) in a dress made from a sugar, or flour bag, and a boy (Chris Souness), the manager, R.T. Souness, then a gentleman with his hands holding his waistcoat under the arms, and a gentleman (Jimmie Hay) holding a crate.
