This list records the name of each dairy factory in operation, their registered number, secretary, postal address and brand. From 1896 it includes production figures and from 1906 it includes the number of suppliers. The entries in the publication are first listed by province and then alphabetically by company name. From 1906 the lists are split by product, with a separate section for the Butter and Cheese Factories. This is later expanded to include a separate section for Whey Butter Factories as well. From 1970 the entries are listed alphabetically by company name.
