The Tamaki Co-operative Dairy Company's butter/cheese factory at Te Rehunga near Dannevirke, after the renovations were completed in 1924. 

The building is made of concrete and corrugated iron. The loading stage has been increased to two stages and placed at the Eastern end of the building. The original factory has been more than doubled in size. The original building [the part facing the camera] has been lengthened. The water and sweet whey tanks have been moved. There is now a skylight in the roof, the ventilators have gone and the top of a new brick smoke stack can be seen.

Eight horse and wagon groups are waiting to unload with their drivers. The dead logs have gone from the surrounding countryside.

The date on the mount is appears to be incorrect. This is the date at which the rebuilt factory was commenced. The booklet "Tamaki Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd. Twenty-first anniversary, 1909-1930" gives the date of the photograph as 1930.
